  1. 1. Soak the rice for at least 20 mins.Wash it properly.
  2. Put rice in a vessel , add double amount of water and little salt,1cinnamon and 2 cardamom and 2 cloves.
  3. Cook the rice for 15 min without covering the pan.
  4. Use a fork to mix the rice and care should be taken not to break the rice.
  5. Once its cooked (Rice should not be over cooked) drain the water completely.
  6. Heat a pan with oil and temper with 1cinnamon ,2 elachi,2 cardamom and 2 cloves.
  7. Add the diced onion and salt and fry for 5-10 minutes till the onion becomes translucent.
  8. Now the ginger garic paste and fry for 5 min till the raw smell goes.
  9. Mix chopped tomato. Cook it till it becomes soft. Add turmeric & chilli powder. Cook for 1-2 mins, till the raw smell goes.
  10. Add chopped mint & coriander leaves. Mix well. Add cooked rice. Give a good mix.(mix carefully, do not break the rice) Cover & cook for 10min minutes on a very low flame.
  11.  Remove from fire. Serve hot
