0/0 steps made- Aval Vilayichathu is a typical malayali (keralite) snack recipe. its made on special occasions like Dipavali (Diwali)
- First of all, we have to dry roast Moong dal and Sesame seeds separately. and keep them aside
- Next we will melt Jaggery with 1/4 cup water. Strain it for impurities and heat it again
- When it start to boil, Add grated Coconut, Ghee, Cardamom powder and mix well.
- when its mixed well, lower the flame, add Aval/ Poha ( you can even off the flame)
- Mix well till the Aval/ Poha is covered well in Jaggery mix
- Add roasted Moong dal and Sesame seeds and mix well
- Aval Vilayichathu is ready
