  1. Boil some water
  2. Mix Rice powder (Idiyappam podi) with salt well
  3. Add boiled water enough to make a dough. mix with a spatula.
  4. Keep it aside to cool it little till we could use our hands to kneed well
  5. Now add Ghee and kneed well to form a soft dough
  6. Clean the Idiyappam Press and fill it with dough
  7. Put some coconut as base in Idiyappam stand (steamer)
  8. Now press ididyappam press to the palte
  9. Do the same for all the plate
  10. Steam the appam for 10 minutes
  11. Best with vegetable stew, Egg roast, Egg Curry, Coconut milk
