Description
Diamond Cuts are easy snack for teatime. Both sweet and Spicy flavours are popular. Here we present three verities. Spicy, Sugar and Jaggery version. The process for both Sugar and Jaggery are same. But taste really different . So Try all.
Ingredients
1cup Whole Wheat flour
1cup All Purpose flour
Oil as required
For Sweet Version
1 Egg
1/2cup Sugar/ Jaggery
For Spicy Version
1pinch Salt
1 1/2teaspoon Chilly powder
1/4cup Asafoetida
1teaspoon Sesame seeds
Instructions

For the sweet version, mix wheat flour, all-purpose flour, a beaten egg, salt, and enough water to form a smooth dough.

Make lemon-sized balls from the dough and roll them into thin sheets.

Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the sheets into diamond shapes (or any shape you prefer).

Heat oil and deep fry the pieces on medium flame until golden brown and crispy.

In a separate pan, prepare sugar syrup by heating sugar or jaggery with a teaspoon of water. Stir continuously until it reaches a sticky syrup consistency.

Add the fried diamond cuts into the syrup and mix well so that each piece is evenly coated.

Allow them to cool completely and store in an airtight container.

For the spicy version, mix wheat flour, all-purpose flour, chili powder, sesame seeds, asafoetida powder, salt, and water to make a firm dough.

Roll out the dough into thin sheets and cut into diamond shapes using a knife or pizza cutter.

Heat oil and deep fry the pieces until golden brown and crisp.

Cool them completely and store in an airtight container.
