First, clean the jackfruit seeds by peeling off the white skin. Slice them into pieces and wash well.

In a pan, add 1½ cups of water, jackfruit seeds, coconut slices, and enough salt. Cook until the seeds are soft. Drain the water and keep it aside.

In another pan, heat oil. Add sliced onions and sauté for a few minutes until they turn translucent.

Add chilli powder and pepper powder. Sauté for 2 more minutes.

Finally, add the cooked jackfruit seeds and coconut slices. Mix well and stir-fry for a few minutes.

Chakkakuru Mezhukkupuratti is ready to serve!
