Ingredients
5 Garlic crushed
3 Dry Red Chillies
1/4teaspoon Turmeric powder
1/2teaspoon Chilly powder
1teaspoon Pepper powder
lemon size Tamarind
1/2teaspoon crushed Pepper
4-5 Curry Leaves
1tablespoon chopped Coriander leaves
1/4teaspoon Asafoetida powder (Hing)
1/2teaspoon Mustard seeds
3 Tomatos chopped
Salt & Oil as required
Instructions

First of all, heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves.

When the mustard seeds start to crackle, add chopped tomatoes and sauté well until soft.

Add tamarind juice (prepared by soaking tamarind in warm water and extracting the juice) and stir.

Now add the masala powders — turmeric powder, chilli powder, and pepper powder. Mix well.

Add salt, crushed garlic, and a little more crushed pepper. Let it come to a boil.

Add a pinch of asafoetida (hing) and let it boil for a few more minutes so the flavors combine well.

Finally, add fresh coriander leaves and remove from the stovetop.

Serve hot with steamed rice or enjoy as a light soup.
