Ingredients
  • 1 cup Urad dal
  • 2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 spring g Curry leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • Oil for frying
Instructions

    Gari made with Urad dal , This vadas are made only on special occasions like wedding, pooja, naming ceremony by Konkan Brahmins (Gowda Saraswat Brahmins)

    First of all, Soak the Urad dal at least 4 hours or over night . Drain water completely

    next, Crush urad dal with Black Pepper , Turmeric powder, Curry leaves and enough salt and make a dough ( for Pooja purpose exclude Pepper)

    We don’t need to to grin d. Just crushing is enough

    Now we make small balls with the dough

    Heat oil, ad deep fry each small balls . Enjoy with tea
